Quiet Murmurations

Quiet Murmurations is a watercolour series that I painted throughout my pregnancy.

I was curious about the changes happening inside of me, as well as on a spiritual, cosmic plane. Pregnancy connected me more deeply to my womb, my femininity and my ancestral lines.

These paintings helped me tune into all the shifts taking place. I painted them intuitively, without any agenda aside from allowing myself to feel fully and express the sensations through colour and paint. When each piece felt complete, I stopped, let it dry, and then enjoyed looking back at the piece to see what it was telling me.
