Moving Meditations

For about 15 years, I have been working on a series of paintings that I call Moving Meditations. What makes a piece part of this series is the way I paint them.

A Moving Meditation painting is one where I sidestep the intellectual mind and move into a place of pure presence and flow. Instead of observing the exterior world, I turn inward and energetically anchor myself down into the earth and open myself up to the heavens, allowing creativity to move through me. These paintings tend to be quite abstract and require that I paint them with my full body, often on very large canvases.
